Scott Offutt
Graduate Student - MA Literature
Scott Offutt received his BA in English Literature and History from Knox College in 2009, and entered Washington State University as a graduate student and teaching assistant in 2010. Before his entry into Washington State, he worked as the Managing Editor of The Common Room, Knox College's online collection of literary criticism.
Research and Teaching Interests
Offutt's interests include the examination of the visionary and prophetic works of the English Romantic period, as well as analyses of the philosophical and political terms addressed within Romantic texts. Additionally, he has studied formal developments and changes in theory in poetry from the end of the Enlightenment through the beginning of English Modernism
